Celebrate Your Own Normal - Children's Book

$19.95Price

As a child, my condition went undiagnosed for many years because of its rarity. Throughout that time, I was frequently misunderstood and labelled as "lazy" by well-meaning professionals who simply didn't know what I was experiencing.

Looking back, what I needed most was not another opinion - I needed someone to tell me that my normal was still normal. I needed to understand that although my journey looked different from other children’s, there was nothing wrong with being different. That message became the inspiration for Celebrate Your Own Normal.

This book is my legacy to my eleven-year-old self, and to every child navigating diagnosis, disability, or difference. It reminds children that while everyone's journey is unique, we all have our own normal to celebrate.

Celebrate Your Own Normal is written for children aged 2–12 years and supports conversations around diagnosis, inclusion, resilience, and self-acceptance. Recognising that early intervention is one of the most valuable supports a child can receive, I am offering interactive book readings in kindergartens across Australia, with a long-term vision of expanding internationally.

This book is also suitable for psychologists, paediatricians, medical specialists, and allied health professionals who support children and families throughout their diagnosis and early intervention journey.
