About Me

Bachelor of Journalism

I’m Jamie‑Lee Dwyer — a writer, storyteller, and advocate for disability rights. I live with Friedreich’s Ataxia, but I refuse to let it define the limits of my life.
People have tried to put labels on me, to fit me into neat little boxes. I’ve spent my life proving those boxes far too small. I show up every day determined to live fully, love deeply, and reach my highest potential.
Writing is my way of claiming space, shaping meaning, and reminding the world that disability is not a barrier to ambition, creativity, or joy. I’m here to live loudly, push boundaries, and build a life that feels unapologetically mine.
